PoolLedger help

Keep the record clear.

Quick guidance for logging tests, scheduling care and keeping a portable local history.

Create a pool

Add a chlorine, spa, bromine, salt or plunge profile. Choose litres or US gallons and optionally add notes. PoolLedger does not impose a pool limit.

Log a water test

Use Quick test from Today or open Tests for a pool. Record any built-in parameters you measured—pH, temperature, free chlorine, total chlorine, bromine, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, salt or filter pressure—or create a custom numeric parameter. Leave anything you did not measure blank.

Use a target band

A target band is optional and entered by you. It appears as personal context on a parameter trend. PoolLedger does not choose, verify or interpret the band and does not label a reading safe or unsafe.

Schedule recurring care

Create a care task with your own title, due date and repeat interval—for example, testing, cleaning, filter or equipment work. From Today you can complete, snooze, skip or reopen an item, and each action is retained in combined History. To record work already completed, use Log completed work and enter the date it occurred.

Track inventory changes

Add chemicals, accessories or equipment with quantity and notes. Each item can be active, depleted or retired. These states are records only and do not assess a product's condition or suitability.

Find or correct a record

Search the combined History for a value or note. Pool and inventory details can be edited from their own screens. Where an undo message appears after a destructive change, use it before the message closes.

Export or back up

Use the data controls to export tests, maintenance and chemicals as separate CSV files. JSON backup contains the structured PoolLedger record set for restore. Keep backups in a location you trust. To restore in v1, paste the complete backup text into the restore field, then validate and restore. Before restoring, create a fresh backup because restore changes the local record set.

Fix a missing reminder

Confirm that notifications are allowed for PoolLedger in system settings, the care item is still scheduled for the future and the app's reminder setting is enabled. Device power-saving or focus settings can affect delivery timing. PoolLedger reminders are local and do not require an account.

Advertising

A labelled banner stays outside record editors. App-open advertising begins only after the first session, is capped and is suppressed when PoolLedger opens from one of its local reminder notifications. The optional rewarded placement applies a temporary Pool Glow appearance only. There are no interstitial ads and no functional feature is locked.

Need pool advice? PoolLedger is intentionally only a log and schedule. Follow product labels or consult a qualified pool professional for safe ranges, diagnosis, treatment, dosing and swim-safety decisions.
