Summary
GrooveGauge has no account system or developer cloud service. The profiles, listening sessions, care events, personal targets, reminder preference and settings you enter are stored on your device. Advertising and consent services may process limited technical data as described below.
Your GrooveGauge records
GrooveGauge does not send your cartridge profiles, stylus hours, listening sessions, maintenance notes or personal service targets to a Software House backend. These records remain in the app’s local storage unless you choose to export them.
Exports and restore
When you export CSV or JSON, the file leaves GrooveGauge only through the destination you select. That destination processes the file under its own terms. Restore reads a JSON backup you select and uses it to replace the app’s local records after confirmation.
Optional notifications
If you enable the reminder, GrooveGauge requests notification permission and schedules the reminder locally on your device. GrooveGauge does not use a remote push-notification service. You can disable notifications in the app or your device settings.
Advertising and consent
On iOS, the app requests App Tracking Transparency permission before the consent flow and before initialising advertising or requesting ads. Device identifiers may be used for advertising tracking only when the system permission is granted and Google's consent state permits requests. Denied, restricted, unresolved or failed permission checks keep advertising disabled while every core feature stays available. More includes Advertising privacy choices, which opens Google's privacy-options form when required, and a link to this policy. You can also manage tracking permission in device Settings.
GrooveGauge uses Google User Messaging Platform and Google Mobile Ads. Where required, the app obtains or refreshes a consent choice before initialising Mobile Ads and makes no ad request unless the consent state permits it. Ad requests are configured as non-personalised.
Depending on region, consent choice, device settings and Google’s service operation, Google may process data such as IP-derived general location, device or other identifiers, app and advertising interactions, and diagnostic or performance information for advertising, consent, measurement, security and fraud prevention. Google processes that information under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Declining an available consent option or being unable to load an ad does not disable profiles, timers, manual sessions, care history, reminders, search, export, backup or restore. The optional rewarded ad changes only a temporary cosmetic card style.
Permissions
- Notifications are optional and requested only when you enable the local reminder.
- Files, document selection and sharing are used only when you choose to export or restore.
- GrooveGauge does not require microphone access.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain on your device until you remove them, clear app storage or uninstall GrooveGauge. Export a JSON backup first if you want to keep them. Third-party advertising data is retained and deleted under Google’s policies and available privacy controls.
No sale of care records
Software House does not sell your app-entered cartridge, stylus, listening or maintenance records. The app has no public profile, social feed or record-catalogue account.
Changes
If GrooveGauge’s data practices materially change, this notice will be updated with a new effective date before the changed behaviour is released.
