Do I need an account?

No. CatchFolio's core records are stored on your device.

Can I save a trip with no catches?

Yes. A zero-catch outing is useful history and can be saved without adding a catch.

Does CatchFolio publish my fishing spots?

No. Spot labels and any coordinates you type are private local records and are not shared automatically.

Does it use my device location?

No. CatchFolio does not request device location. Coordinates are optional and manually entered.

How should I back up my records?

Create a JSON backup and save it somewhere you control. CSV is useful for spreadsheet analysis, while readable text is useful for a simple summary. JSON restore validates CatchFolio backup structure before changing local records. Optional catch image files are stored only on this device and are not included in any export or restored on another device.

Can I attach a catch image?

Yes. You can choose an image file through your device's document picker. CatchFolio copies it into app-private storage without requesting camera, photo-library or device-location permission.

Why did I see a consent choice?

CatchFolio is advertising-supported and uses Google's consent tools where required. All app features remain available regardless of whether a rewarded ad is watched.

Where are regulations and legal size limits?

CatchFolio does not provide regulations or legal advice. Always check the official authority for the water and jurisdiction where you fish.
