Privacy policy
This policy explains how MeterDocket handles information. MeterDocket is designed as a local-first manual utility meter record and does not require an account.
Information you enter
Meter names, types, units, direction, multipliers, user-entered tariffs, readings, dates, notes, correction history, reminder schedules and preferences are stored on your device. MeterDocket does not operate a developer cloud database for these records.
MeterDocket does not request camera, broad photo/media-library, precise location, coarse location or external-storage permission. It does not connect to your utility provider or smart meter.
Optional images
You may choose an image file through your device's document picker. MeterDocket copies the selected file into app-private device storage. It does not upload the image to the developer, automatically photograph a meter or perform OCR.
Exports and restore
You can initiate CSV, readable text and JSON exports. A copy leaves MeterDocket only when you choose a destination through your device. That destination may handle its copy under its own privacy terms. JSON restore validates MeterDocket backup structure and asks for confirmation before replacing local records.
Advertising and consent
MeterDocket uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform. Where required, the consent flow completes before an ad request. Depending on device, region, choices and Google's current services, Google may process an IP address and approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, ads viewed, app or ad interactions, crash information and performance information for advertising, measurement, analytics, security and fraud prevention.
MeterDocket disables Google's publisher first-party identifier setting in the app. Read Google's privacy policy and Mobile Ads SDK disclosure guidance.
App update delivery
MeterDocket may use Expo application update services. Update requests may process technical information such as operating system, developer project identifier, a random installation token and update diagnostics for app functionality and update delivery. See Expo's privacy policy.
Notifications
Reminders are optional and scheduled locally on the device. MeterDocket does not register a remote push-notification token.
Deleting information
Delete individual records inside MeterDocket, use the in-app erase action, clear the app's device data or uninstall the app to remove local records. Copies you exported must be deleted from their chosen destinations separately.
Product boundary
MeterDocket does not connect to a utility provider, read a meter automatically, perform OCR, verify tariffs, detect faults, provide energy or financial advice, or promise bill accuracy. Cost figures are estimates from information entered by you.
Changes
This policy may change when the app or its service providers change. The effective date will be revised when a material update is published.
