Privacy Policy
PackRewind privacy
This policy describes PackRewind 1.0.0. If the app's data practices change, this page and the store disclosures will be updated before that change is released.
Information stored on your device
Your trip and template names, optional dates or destination text, item names and notes, quantities, traveller and bag labels, checklist states, close-out observations, reminder preferences and recent action history are stored locally on your device. PackRewind does not send this content to a PackRewind account or developer server because the app has no account, developer cloud, cross-device sync or first-party analytics service.
Sensitive information and location
PackRewind does not request device location, track a journey, scan identity documents or provide passport-number, passport-image, boarding-pass or payment-card fields. Avoid putting identity-document numbers, booking references, account credentials, health details or payment information in item names or notes. A user may type any free text, but that does not turn PackRewind into a secure document vault.
Reminders
If you choose to schedule a reminder, PackRewind asks the operating system to create a local notification. You can cancel reminders in the app and control notification permission in device settings. PackRewind does not use remote push notifications.
Backups and exports
JSON backups and CSV or readable-text exports are generated locally. Information leaves PackRewind only when you choose a destination in the operating-system share sheet. The selected destination's privacy practices apply after sharing. A restore file is validated locally before it replaces active app data.
Advertising and consent
PackRewind uses Google Mobile Ads for advertising and Google's User Messaging Platform for applicable consent and privacy choices. Depending on device settings, region, consent and ad configuration, Google may process an IP address used to estimate general location, app interactions, diagnostic or performance information, device or account identifiers and advertising data for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention.
PackRewind completes its privacy gate before initialising the advertising SDK or requesting an ad and requests non-personalised ads for every format. Where required, the app displays Google's privacy message and provides a privacy-options entry point. Some information may still be processed for limited ads, delivery, analytics, security or fraud prevention. PackRewind does not intentionally send trip names, destinations, traveller labels, item content, quantities or notes to Google Mobile Ads.

App updates
PackRewind may contact EAS Update to check for and download app-code updates. Expo states that update requests may include the device operating system and a random installation token used to determine whether an installation downloaded an update. Expo describes that token as non-identifying. The request does not intentionally include your trip, template, traveller, bag, item, quantity or note content. EAS Update is not used for a PackRewind account, user-data backup, sync or first-party analytics.
Permissions
Notification permission is requested only after you choose a reminder action. The described release does not request device-location, camera, media-library, microphone or contacts permission. An iOS tracking prompt, when applicable, relates only to advertising; declining it does not remove a feature.
Retention and deletion
Individual items and templates remain until you remove them in the app. Clearing all trip and action-history data requires the operating system's clear-storage control or uninstall. The developer has no server copy of those records. User-created exports remain at the destinations you selected. Device backups follow the platform provider's settings. Advertising-provider retention follows Google's policies and applicable Google/device advertising controls.
Children
PackRewind is intended for adult travellers and adult household trip organisers. It is not directed to children or teens and has no account, chat, public profile, public user content or social posting.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date and, where required, in the app or store disclosures.
