Do not send booking references, identity-document details or a full backup unless support explicitly asks for a redacted example.
Common questions
Where are my trips and templates stored?
They are stored locally on your device. PackRewind has no account, developer-operated cloud backup or cross-device sync. Removing local data, clearing app storage or uninstalling may permanently remove records, so create an export or backup first when you need a copy.
Do I need to enter a destination or dates?
No. A trip can be created without a destination or fixed date. Any optional text you add remains part of the local trip record.
What is the difference between packed out and packed home?
Packed out records the quantity leaving with you. During checkout you can mark an item consumed or intentionally left and confirm the quantity packed for home. The arrive-home view provides a final local check before close-out.
Will close-out change my template?
No change is silent. Forgotten, borrowed and unused observations can produce a proposed template update. Review and accept or reject the proposal yourself.
Why did I not see a reminder?
Reminders use the device's local notification system. PackRewind can schedule a leave-home prompt from an optional start date and a checkout prompt from an optional end date. Confirm that reminders and trip dates are set, then check notification permission and focus/do-not-disturb settings. Denying notifications does not lock any other feature.
How do backup and export work?
PackRewind creates the selected JSON, CSV or text file locally and opens the operating-system share sheet. The file leaves PackRewind only after you choose an app, person or storage destination. A restore file is validated before it replaces active local data.
Why am I seeing a privacy message?
PackRewind is supported by Google-served, non-personalised advertising. Google's User Messaging Platform may show consent or privacy choices based on your region. Where required, those choices can be reopened from the app's privacy/settings area. A privacy choice does not lock a feature.
Travel checklist boundary
PackRewind's generic suggestions and check states are personal planning aids, not official travel, visa, border, baggage, weather, health or safety requirements. Check important belongings physically and use authoritative carrier and government information where needed.
