Privacy policy

This policy explains how the ProofStash mobile app handles information.

Records and proof files

Purchase details, dates, prices, references, serial or model numbers, tags, notes, issue summaries, status, checklist state, timeline notes and preferences are designed to remain in local app storage. A PDF, image or text proof file you select is copied into local app document storage. ProofStash does not require an account and does not sync these records to a developer cloud database.

Export, backup and restore

ProofStash can share a CSV, readable text summary or versioned JSON backup only after you choose a destination through device controls. The JSON contains record data and attachment references, but not the copied proof-file contents. Restore validates the schema and asks before replacing local records. A destination you choose handles exported files under its own privacy and retention terms.

Reminders

If you enable reminders and grant permission, ProofStash schedules local notifications from the return and warranty dates you saved. It does not register a remote push token in the described release. A notification includes the saved item name and reminder type, which may appear on your lock screen according to device settings.

Advertising and consent

When dedicated advertising is enabled, ProofStash uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform. Where required, advertising choices are handled before ads may be requested. If configuration or consent is incomplete, advertising remains off.

Google and platform services may process IP address or approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, ads viewed, app/ad interactions, diagnostics, performance information and consent choices for contextual advertising, measurement, security and fraud prevention. Source ad requests are marked non-personalised, and ProofStash does not intentionally include purchase records or proof-file content in an ad request. On iOS, the system tracking choice may be shown; declining it does not remove a functional feature.

Permissions

ProofStash requests notification permission only when reminders are enabled and may request the iOS advertising tracking choice. It uses the system document picker for proof files. The described app does not request camera, broad photo/media-library, precise location, contacts, microphone, health, calendar, Bluetooth or payment-data access.

Retention, deletion and security

Local records remain until you delete a record, clear app storage or uninstall ProofStash. Deleting a record also requests deletion of its copied local proof files. Exported files remain at their chosen destination until you delete them there. Advertising and destination providers may retain data under their own policies. Local storage reduces routine sharing, but no device, storage method or network transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

ProofStash is a general utility and is not directed to children under 13. It has no public profiles, chat, social feed or public posting.

Changes and contact

This policy will receive a new effective date when handling materially changes. For privacy questions, email tools@softwarehouse.au. Do not email a real receipt, serial number, claim correspondence or full backup.
