Sewing records stay local

SewTrove is designed to keep projects, fabrics, patterns, measurements, material lists, notes, tags, histories, settings and optional reference photos on your device. You do not need a SewTrove account, and the publisher does not operate a cloud service for these records.

Photos

If you choose a reference photo, SewTrove asks for photo-library permission and copies the selected image into the app's local storage. Photo access is optional. JSON backups store local photo references but do not embed photo bytes.

Exports and sharing

When you choose an export, SewTrove creates the file locally and opens your device's share options. The file leaves SewTrove only after you choose a destination. That destination's privacy and retention practices then apply.

Reminders

If you enable deadline reminders, SewTrove asks for notification permission and schedules them on your device. You can deny or revoke permission without losing local record keeping.

Advertising

SewTrove uses Google Mobile Ads to support the free app. The configured release requests non-personalised ads and uses Google's consent-information flow. Google may process device or other identifiers, coarse location inferred from network information, app interactions, diagnostics and performance information for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention and security. Google's privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

SewTrove does not add your project names, measurements, notes, tags, fabrics, patterns, photos or filenames to ad-request parameters. SewTrove waits until the consent flow allows ad requests.

On iOS, the app requests App Tracking Transparency permission before the consent flow and before initialising advertising or requesting ads. Device identifiers may be used for advertising tracking only when the system permission is granted and Google's consent state permits requests. Denied, restricted, unresolved or failed permission checks keep advertising disabled while every core feature stays available. Insights & settings includes Advertising privacy choices, which opens Google's privacy-options form when required, and a link to this policy. You can also manage tracking permission in device Settings.

Retention and deletion

Project, fabric and pattern records can be removed in the app. Local data also disappears when app storage is cleared or SewTrove is uninstalled. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save or share them.

Children

SewTrove is a general-audience sewing organiser and is not directed to children. It does not provide a public profile, chat or social feed.
