SewTrove works without an account. Sewing records and selected reference photos are kept on the device where you created them.

Back up before changing devices

Create a JSON backup and save it somewhere you control before clearing app storage, uninstalling or changing devices. JSON backups contain record data but do not embed photo files. Keep separate copies of any photos you need.

A photo could not be added

Check that photo-library access is allowed for SewTrove in device settings. Photos are optional; denying access should not block text records. SewTrove copies a selected photo into its local app storage.

A reminder did not appear

Check that notifications are allowed, the reminder is enabled, and the project has a future deadline. Focus modes, battery settings or operating-system scheduling can delay or hide local notifications. Reminder delivery is not guaranteed.

Exports and restore

CSV is a portable table of project, fabric and pattern records. JSON is the versioned SewTrove backup format. Only restore a backup you trust. A destination selected in your device's share options controls its own privacy and retention.

Ads or consent

Advertising requires a network connection and may be unavailable because of consent, configuration or provider availability. Project, pattern, fabric, reminder and export features remain available without an ad. The optional rewarded action changes only the colour of its bonus card for 30 minutes.

Pattern and measurement notes

SewTrove organises information you enter. It does not provide sewing patterns, sizing recommendations, garment-safety advice or medical advice. Only store patterns and photos you have the right to use.
